No, this isn't really how I ship your kitty. It's just too cute a photo of King Comanche not to share!

How I Ship Your Kitten

1. Call various shippers to find the best flights based upon your preferences and the kitten's welfare.
2. Make the reservation, email you the flight info, buy and prep the shipping crate.
3. Take the kitten to the vet for its health certificate, vaccinations, and lab work.
4. Bathe your kitty, trim its nails, and clean its ears.
5. Prepare all the paperwork, drive to the airport, check kitty in, prepay the flight.
6. Call you to say that your kitten is on its way.

Your kitten's Pet Records are put in a plastic bag and placed under its blanket in the shipping crate. These records normally include my business card and contact information, a Mokave Pet Contract; registration paper; three-generation pedigree; vet-certified health certificate; and record of altering, vaccination dates, Feline Leukemia test, FIV test, and fecal test.

"I picked Sheba up tonight from the airport... she wasn't meowing to get out of the cage at all. On the way home I had her in my lap and she was just licking me and head-butting me and purring. I instantly fell in love with her!"

Shipping Fees

Airlines have raised their pet cargo rates several times since January 1, 2008. Due to the increased cost of fuel and crates, shipping within the United States and Canada costs a flat fee of $300 - $400, depending upon the airline and the weight/size of the cat.

Shipping outside the United States requires an International Health Certificate, which is an additional cost that can vary from country to country.

Where I Ship Mokaves

Mokave cats and kittens can be shipped anywhere in the United States (except Hawaii), Puerto Rico, and the American Virgin Islands.

As of January 1, 2010, I also ship to the following countries:

Canada: Calgary, Edmonton, Halifax, Kitchener, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg
Central America: El Salvador (San Salvador)
Mexico: Mexico City

I use Delta, Northwest, or Continental as they love my cats and take very good care of them. My felines travel in the same temperature and pressure-controlled environment as the human passengers.

PLEASE NOTE: Mokave Cats is not responsible for delivery of your kitten. As a courtesy, I provide shipping services when they are prepaid by you. You are always welcome to come pick up your kitty in person.

"We are home safe and sound! She is very pretty, just the color I like, too. She was so sweet and rode in my lap and purred and kneaded and headbutted like she knew me. I was surprised she wasn't a bit nervous [after the flight]..."
