About My Cattery...

Mokave Cats began in December, 2000 on an 80-acre California wildlife preserve and relocated to Jacksonville, Florida in August, 2003. Mokave Cats is licensed and registered with The International Cat Registry (TICA) and the Rare & Exotic Feline Registry (REFR). This cattery has been inspected by Jacksonville Animal Control and the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and passed with flying colors for its cleanliness, record-keeping, and care of these amazing animals.

Reserving a Mokave Kitten or Cat

The Mokave Cats website averages about 10,000 visits every month, which is pretty amazing since my cattery only produces about 60 kittens per year. As my large designer breeds evolve, I must devote more time to them to ensure their super-friendly personalities. This means that I'll be reducing the number of litters produced each year. If you'd like a Mokave kitten, you might want to make your reservation as early as possible.

To reserve a Mokave kitten: a $200.00 non-refundable Floating Deposit is required. This deposit can move or "float" from litter to litter until you make your selection. Once you have decided on the kitten you want, an additional $300 non-refundable Reservation Deposit is required to move that kitten off the Available Kittens page and on to the Reserved Kittens page. All deposits are subtracted from the total cost of the kitten.

To reserve a retired Mokave cat: a $200.00 non-refundable Reservation Deposit is required. This deposit is subtracted from the cost of the cat.

Before purchasing: you must talk to me in person or on the phone so that I can be sure that the cat or kitten you want will be appropriate for your environment. Simply call me at 904-292-9195 or 904-305-4371 with the kitten's ID # or cat's name.


Pet Prices and Methods of Payment

Mokave kittens are in high demand. Entire litters are often sold out before they are born. To cover the costs of raising the kittens, I would prefer that they be paid for at the time of reservation. However, payment plans are available if a kitten is not yet ready to go. Prices are based upon the kitten's size, personality, coat pattern, color, and exotic features such ear tuffs, bobtail, plush coat, etc. Pet prices are displayed on the Available Cats and Available Kittens pages. Please note I rarely sell my cats for breeding purposes.

Mokave accepts the following methods of payment:

Personal checks are no longer accepted. Please make cashier's checks and money orders out to:  Mokave Cats. Payments sent through the U.S. Mail should be registered or certified for tracking purposes.
