5 Months Old

Mokave Pet Parent:

"She is sooo adorable!
I just love her!"

Diane D.
Jacksonville, FL

10 Months Old

Mokave cats are some of the largest felines available as family pets. Adult Mokave females usually weigh 12 - 20 pounds; adult Mokave males 14 - 28 pounds. Compare these sizes to most other adult cat breeds, which usually average 4 - 8 pounds for females; 6 - 12 pounds for males. Housecats that more than this are usually very obese and in need of a serious diet. Mokave cats are solid muscle - not fat - and usually look much heavier than they actually are.

PLEASE NOTE: I CANNOT GUARANTEE SIZE!

It is genetically impossible to breed a domestic cat that weighs the same as a jaguar or cougar as smaller felines do not carry the gene for gigantism. Mokave designer cats are a 'work in progress' and therefore their size and features are not yet predictable from litter to litter. Some of my largest adults looked tiny when they were kittens.

Below are examples of young Mokave cats that are becoming BIG as they mature.

Mokave Pet Parent:

"Dakarai is HUGE! Bigger than any of my domestics already, but still a little love."

"He's bigger than he looks in this photo. I'm 5' 11" and weigh 185!"

"Dakarai weighs 22 lbs now... still growing and still a sweetheart. He's sitting on the legs of my 6' 4" husband."

Mokave Dakarai was born in April, 2008.

"Dakarai is 28 lbs. now [December 2009]! He is, again, on James' lap, but you can see he stretches the entire length of his legs!!!"

"Dakarai looks HUGE when James or I hold him, but when someone 5' 7' or so holds him, he looks like a baby tiger!! He loves people."

Mary Leone H.   Snohomish, SC

Mokave Pet Parents:

"I told you about 10 days ago Chita was about 16 inches nose to rump; he will be over 20 inches very soon and he is not even 4 months old... only 3 months, 3 weeks now. I think he will be a very big Mokave cat when he is fully grown."

"Chita is really beginning to get BIG; he is getting close to 40” long fully extended and is about 12 LBS or more... He was 7 MONTHS on March 28, 2007."

Nick K.   Clifton, NJ

Mokave Cat

"Oak is a 1-year-old kitten!"

Bruce B.   El Paso, TX

"At two years old, he's gotten to be a big cat... if he stands up on his back legs, he reaches my waist. He talks all the time. When I come home from work or school, he meets me at the door and 'yells' at me."

Sarah W.   Norfolk, VA
