"I decided to name my kitten Amistad... and I wanted to show you a picture of him. He is an amazing kitten. Very loving and with me everywhere -- just too beautiful to describe. He is great... I never thought I would love a cat so much. Amistad is just beautiful. He reminds me of a tiger, the way his face is shaped and he has those rich stripes on his leg against the lighter color. He goes everywhere I go and he meows if he thinks I have gone missing. He sucks on my arm like a baby. My other cat is just so different from him.. Amistad so outshines the older cat."

"Thought you might like to see how Ami is growing. He is a great cat... very different personality than most people would expect from a cat. A friend of mine unexpectedly gave me a Manx kitten. Ami decided that it would be HIS kitten. He cleans her and plays with her. It is his job to make sure the litter box is maintained. He will cover anything that is left uncovered. I also have a Sphinx cat. No problems at all with the cats."

"About a week ago, Amistad slipped out the door when my husband was going outside. We live in a home that is part barn and part house. Amistad went around to the stalls... the back door opens into the stalls and my husband let him back in. I was working on my computer when Ami came in; he hopped up onto the keyboard and that's when I noticed he had a mouse in his mouth!"

"Amistad stood at the door in the dark when my husband went out to work and he never even saw him go out, so now he feeds him before he goes out to keep him occupied. I was in West Palm Beach at a goat show last week. Ami slipped out and my husband could not find him. (He left home before I got there because he didn't want to tell me.) I cried for an hour and searched everywhere -- no Ami. The next morning, I heard him at the door. He came in and went upstairs, bypassing his food. That's when I found out he had brought home a half-eaten rabbit! He has not attempted to sneak out since then. But I know he has strong hunting instincts and I try to be as careful as I can about keeping him in."

"I don't know what I would do if I lost him. He is a special cat. Maybe one day I will get him a brother... "
